SUPPORT SOBER ENTREPRENEURS –
July 13, 2024 – Valerie Wiener is following her dream by choosing a healing path as an herbalist. Also known as Mother Wanderer Earth Medicine, the mother of two says, “I’m a huge sobriety advocate and I’m very open about my story.”
After struggling with addiction and living as a homeless person, she started on a new path of sobriety and simultaneously became interested in herbalism.
“There is an abundance of native medicinal herbs. Oh my gosh, it’s my heaven up there. Like, I get lost walking up there,” she said of Oak Glen. “I love it up there.”
Wiener had a shop at the Farm at Green Space in Yucaipa from September 2023 until April 2024. When Green Space closed, the owner helped her find a new place to sell her herbs by connecting her with the owners of Goodie Farm Shoppe in Cherry Valley.
“The mission for this sacred space is to build a holistic healing community within the cities of Yucaipa, Cherry Valley, Beaumont & Banning as the place to go to for handcrafted herbal preparations, herbal supplements, organically grown and sourced herbs to build your own home apothecary,” Wiener says on her website, Mother Wanderer Earth Medicine.
She is eager to share more details about her life’s journey.
“I used to cry sharing my story, due to all the shame and guilt and darkness. And now, every time I tell my story, I feel empowered,” she said.
