TV IS ADDICTIVE TOO –
Feb. 8, 2022 – “I was in rehab for alcoholism in Stanhope Street and there were people there who couldn’t tell their partners they were attending.”
Hugh and his partner Martin Corbett got married in a civil partnership in Dublin city back in Locke’s Brasserie in 2012.
Hugh explained: “Martin understood what was going with me because he had been there himself.” The RTE star talked about how he doesn’t have anything to be ashamed about.
Hugh said: “It gives you confidence. I am an alcoholic. It is a disease.
“I don’t have any shame. Why should I? If you are open and honest it peels off a layer and you don’t have to pretend anymore.”
Hugh’s show Home of the Year is returning for a brand new series with a new judge on board.
Series eight of the hit property show will look at homes in 10 different counties and showcase some of the most cleverly designed and diverse homes across the nation.
Current judges, architect and founding partner of Douglas Wallace Consultants, Hugh Wallace and award winning architect Amanda Bone, will be joined by award winning interior designer Sara Cosgrove.
