2 Men Injured in Shooting Inside Recovery Facility

VIDEO – WHAT FAITH? –                                                                                        

Dec. 25, 2024 – Two men were taken to the hospital after being shot inside a faith-based addiction recovery facility in Mount Vernon. Responding officers and deputies with the Skagit County Sheriff’s Office arrived at the scene and found two men inside the facility who had been shot. The MVPD said a 50-year-old man and a 53-year-old man were taken to the Hospital .

Officers contacted a 49-year-old man outside the facility who is believed to be the suspect and took him into custody without incident. A gun was located at the scene and collected as evidence.

Staff at the facility confirmed the two victims were residents of the facility and were shot by the man who was in custody, staff said. Police said another man at the residence reported the suspect had also pointed a gun at him.
